Publishing feedback that’s flexible, affordable, and keeps you moving forward.

After editing 700+ books over the past two decades, I’ve seen every kind of roadblock writers face, and helped authors at every stage of their career get past them.

With Editor in Your Pocket, you get that same expert guidance when you need it most – whether it’s your manuscript, your query letter, or your publishing plan – so you always know what to do next.

It’s hard to write when your brain won’t stop second-guessing.

Fresh cup of coffee. Notebook open. You’ve promised yourself today’s the day you make progress.

But five minutes in, your brain is full of questions that leave you staring blankly at your screen.

“Wait – does this scene even make sense?”

“Did that big revision make it better, or worse?”

“Will this blurb actually make anyone want to read my book?”

“Is my query letter good enough to send, or will it just get ignored?”

You know you need a second opinion… but you’re not ready to drop thousands of dollars on a full edit.

And just like that, another writing session slips away — and the progress you promised yourself gets stalled before it even starts.

You’re not short on opinions – you’re short on real answers.

Friends and critique partners can cheer you on. Writing groups can swap opinions.

Beta readers can tell you where something feels off.

But none of them can give you the experienced, professional insight that shows you exactly how to make your work stronger and more marketable.

That’s why you feel so stuck. Because you don’t need another round of “this is good!”. You need specific, actionable feedback that helps you see what’s missing and how to fix it.
If you ever wished you could catch mistakes early, get a second set of eyes mid-draft, or just confidently know your next step, that’s where I come in.

Get ongoing support from an expert editor for just $150/month

Editor in Your Pocket gives you professional-level writing, editing, and publishing support without the $4,000+ price tag or the months-long wait to get on an editor’s schedule.

You’ll get ongoing access to me – an editor with 20+ years of experience and 700+ books behind me – so you can ask questions, get feedback, and move forward with confidence whenever you need it.

“Instead of second-guessing, I knew exactly what to do next.”

"Working with Angela gave me the clarity I needed to move forward with confidence. Her feedback wasn’t just encouraging—it was specific and eye-opening. She pointed out things I simply didn’t see on my own, and those moments of realization changed the way I approached my draft, my cover copy blurb, my marketing and my newsletter.

Instead of second-guessing, I knew exactly what to do next. The guidance was practical and comprehensive, giving me direction without ever feeling overwhelming.

Honestly, I don’t know how I would do it without Angela."

Working with Angela over multiple sessions revealed trends in my writing and helped me understand exactly where to focus. As a result, I’ve grown into a more confident writer who is aware of her voice and how to use it.

Before, I struggled to define what kind of writer I was, but Angela’s feedback and discussion helped me develop that understanding. That has been key not only to improving my writing but also to thinking about comps and marketing with more clarity.

“It helped me determine what wasn't working with my query package and what was.”

It also helped me decide which direction to take this novel (indie vs trad) and feel good about that decision.

Totally worth the money. It was solid, direct, honest feedback from someone who knows the industry very well.

I knew there was something off about the opening to the book I’m working on, but I couldn’t figure out what it was. With only the 1000-word submission to look at, Angela immediately pinpointed the issue and after our discussion on Voxer, I knew why it was happening, how to fix it, and how to apply it in the rest of the book."

Ready to have an Editor in Your Pocket, for just $150/month?

Hiring me for a full edit runs around $4,000 – $6,000 – and for some authors, that’s exactly the right next step. But if you’re not there yet – whether it’s budget, timing, or just the craving for ongoing support — that’s exactly why I created Editor in Your Pocket.

For $150/month, you get professional insight and guidance that’s flexible, affordable, and designed to keep you moving forward.

          Here’s a quick reminder of what’s included:

📝 Your choice each month: 1 feedback-packed video critique of your writing (up to 2,250 words, with a written highlight sheet of key takeaways) or a 30-minute 1:1 consult each month

📝 Follow-up access, so you’re never left with unanswered questions

📝 Ongoing Voxer (or WhatsApp) access for check-ins and quick support

📝 Momentum that stacks, month after month

The fine print: Editor in Your Pocket starts with a 3-month minimum commitment. After that, you can continue month-to-month. Payments are non-refundable and processed automatically each month on your start date.

Please note: I only take on a small number of authors for Editor in Your Pocket at a time, so availability is limited. If this feels like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, save your spot today.

The case for having an editor in your corner now

You don’t have to wait until your draft is finished (or your doubts are overwhelming) to work with an editor. Getting feedback along the way can make the entire process feel lighter, clearer, and more productive.

Here’s what getting support NOW gives you:

            ✔️ Less stress later.
When you catch small hiccups now, you prevent bigger headaches (and costly rewrites) down the road.

✔️ More clarity as you write.
Instead of pushing through with uncertainty, you’ll know when you’re on track. Every chapter, query, or newsletter feels more solid with an experienced set of eyes on it.

            ✔️ Steadier momentum.
It’s easy to stall when you’re unsure what’s working. With quick-turnaround support, you’ll keep moving forward month after month, without losing weeks to doubt.

✔️ Polished materials when it matters.
Whether you’re querying agents or self-publishing, you’ll already have strong, professional pieces ready to share — no last-minute scramble required.

            ✔️ Real support, not guesswork.
Skip the endless cycle of crowdsourcing advice that leaves you more confused. You’ll get feedback you can trust, tailored to your book and your career goals.

✔️ Encouragement on the hard days.
Writing doesn’t have to feel so lonely. Having an editor in your corner means you’ll always have support on the days you need a boost.

Getting an editor in your corner sooner isn’t about rushing your book – it’s about making sure the time and energy you’re already investing is moving you in the right direction.

“Improved my work and deepened my confidence as a writer.”

            Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all. In fact, the whole point of Editor in Your Pocket is to help you make progress and work things out before your draft is finished.

You don’t have to wait until your manuscript is “perfect.” Whether you’re halfway through, still drafting, or polishing a blurb, I can help you catch issues early and build confidence as you go.

Nope! Grammar is only a tiny slice of what makes a book work. My feedback is about story, character, and strategy – and I can also look at things like your marketing content and publishing queries.

Yes, I’ll flag language that gets in the way – but the real magic is in helping you strengthen your story and positioning so your work connects with readers (and agents, if that’s your path).

Beta readers can be wonderful, but they’re not a replacement for a professional editor. I bring 20+ years of industry experience, a critical eye across hundreds of published books, and the ability to give you accurate, actionable feedback that moves your work forward. Beta readers might notice something feels “off.” I can tell you why – and how to fix it.

Every month, you choose whether you want a critique (up to 1,500 words) or a call. That critique can cover a wide range of materials, including (but not limited to):

            – Manuscript pages
            – Cover copy / blurb
            – Query letter or synopsis
            – Book sell-through analysis (why readers drop off mid-series)
            – Lead magnet or bonus epilogue critique
            – Newsletter welcome sequence
            – Author bio or About page
            – Website homepage analysis
            – Book marketability analysis (why isn’t my book selling?)
            – Analysis of editorial comments or sample edits
            – Up to 10 social media posts (≤150 words each) for hooks, clarity, and marketability
            – Plotting or story outline feedback
            – Other book-related feedback you’d like to run by me

If it’s part of your author business, I’m open to reviewing it. (So far, no one’s asked me for something I’ve had to say no to!)

That’s okay! You don’t have to send me a full chapter every time. Some months you might want me to look at a blurb, query letter, or even your social media posts instead.

If you don’t have anything written, you can always book a consultation instead. We’ll talk through what you’re working on, or where you feel stuck, so that you can get back on track.

The goal is consistent support that fits where you are, not adding pressure to your plate.

Every writer and every book benefits from editing. You’ll usually know you’re ready when you love your work but feel a mix of confidence and uncertainty – when you’ve taken it as far as you can on your own, but you want an experienced critical eye to help you strengthen it. That’s when editing (in any form) can make the biggest impact.

Absolutely not. My role is to strengthen your vision, not rewrite it. I’ll give you feedback that helps your voice shine more clearly and powerfully – not replace it with mine.

Content must be submitted within the first three weeks of each month (before the 22nd of the month).

Feedback will be turned around within 10 business days with the exception of vacations or illness (Advance out-of-office notice will be provided when possible).

A contract will be provided and must be signed before the first service will be performed.

Each service must be used on a monthly basis, service credits do not roll over month over month. Only one service per month will be offered.

No problem. If you don’t have any writing to submit on a given month and would like to choose the 1:1 consultation option, this can be done asynchronous via Voxer or WhatsApp instead. This way, you can still get personalized feedback and answers without carving out time to hop on a live call.

Editor in Your Pocket is non-refundable. You make a 3-month commitment when you register, and if you do not use any month’s allotted service, no refund is provided.

Monthly payments will be automated via Paypal or Stripe (credit card). Payment begins upon joining and will reoccur on the same date every month.

If you’re curious about working with me, but not sure about the ongoing commitment, you might be a better fit for my Feedback Focus offer.

            This includes:

            – A detailed editorial critique of up to 1,250 words
            – Fast turnaround (7-10 business days)
            – The same expert insights, tailored to your voice

It’s all delivered as a written PDF (no calls), and the investment is $100. And if you decide to upgrade to Editor in Your Pocket within 7 days of receiving your feedback, you can add an extra 1,000 words to your first submission!

You can get all the details about Feedback Focus here.

Yes! Service begins as soon as you join and you can submit new materials at the beginning of each month.

You will be asked to fill out an onboarding form with background information about you/your books, in order to help me start to learn who you are as an author and what you are working toward. This onboarding form is a crucial step in personalizing your service and feedback and I cannot perform your services until this is filled out.

Let’s make your writing journey lighter, clearer, and a whole lot less lonely

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about edits. It’s about getting flexible, affordable, momentum-building feedback – exactly when you need it most.

I only take on a handful of authors at a time for Editor in Your Pocket, and spots are limited. If this feels like the right support for you, don’t wait. I’d love to be in your corner.
